I heard the chemist say
That the universe is too small to contain the future
And I thought that maybe that is why
It is alway expanding
It is growing
With us
He said that if you believe that you have free-will
Then you have to believe that time is fundamental
And not a construct that we’ve made up
He told me that time was real.
He said that human beings
Are capable of mining the future
There is an arrow of time
He said
We are creating
Assembling
Making life
And making things
And that this is the way the universe works
We are venturing out into the unknown
And making new discoveries every day
Our knowledge grows
And old ideas
Blossom into
Something new
And
I think it’s true
That the same thing is happening inside of you.
